Lace Backed Facial Hair Care Guide

Unless otherwise noted most lace backed facial hair is attached using spirit gum. Spirit gum is an adhesive, made mostly of SD Alcohol 35-A (the solvent, or "spirit") and resin (the adhesive, or "gum"), used primarily for affixing costume prosthetic such as wigs, merkins, or false facial hair. It is important to always clean the facial hair lace backing with spirit gum remover after each use. Otherwise, it may cure and the spirit gum will harden making it difficult to remove.

You should wash your facial hair as needed by swishing it in a basin of warm water and baby shampoo for a few minutes. Rinse and lay it flat on a towel to dry.
